With a 100-foot porch facing Lake Michigan, the Inn
invokes memories of a less-hurried time. A nationally known hotel. The Lakeside
Inn is Harbor Country's rustic, no-nonsense
lodging destination, with 31 guest rooms, Cafe,
Catering, our own private beach, and our
ballroom for your special
event.
The inn, a three story frame structure, speaks of less
hurried times. The rich wood of the pillars in the lobby compliments the stone
of its fireplace. The ballroom, which faces Lake Michigan, also has a stone
fireplace. Furnishings reminiscent of the early 20th century create a casual
atmosphere in which to meet friends, play cards and board games, read a magazine
and just relax. The building, dating back as early as the 1880's, has long been
a Lakeside landmark.
The 100 foot long front porch is lined with rockers and
bathed with breezes off the lake. Step off the porch, descend the stairs and cross
the road to find yourself on the bluff overlooking the private beach that awaits
you.
Lakeside Inn has thirty-one rooms total, with fourteen of
them facing the lake. Each has been updated with private bath, telephone, TV, heat
and air conditioning. Of our thirty-one rooms, we offer five with Jacuzzi
tubs. Three of our Jacuzzi rooms have refrigerators. We're also now proud
to offer free wireless high-speed internet access to our guests.
